Sometimes, it's just a cigar

This is our truth, tell us yours

Sex positive is a much maligned term, after all who wants to describe themselves as sex negative? We like sex, we don’t see it as sacred, or special, and we have it with a variety of people in a variety of circumstances. Terms like poly are en vogue and we are not sure they apply to us, we simply like having sex with each other, and other people and writing about it. Does that make us exhibitionists? Perhaps, but then it makes you, dear reader, consensual voyeurs.

A deep, abiding belief in the goodness of humanity unites the contributors. This expresses itself in a number of ways, but one we agree on is the validity of socialism as a political movement and solution to so many of the problems the world faces. That we argue for a pro sex, grass roots, inclusive and intersectional socialism is for us natural, and coherent.

This is not a guide to BDSM, although we talk about it, and do things that might to some be seen as shocking or extreme. We have worked out what works for us, without safe words, protocol or leather kilt

Carter is a middle aged man who works in a variety of human centred roles. He enjoys erotica, music and sport. He has an encyclopaedic knowledge of things you didn’t need to know, and laments the way that smartphones killed the pub quiz. He also delights in word games, puns, patter songs and sundry clever dickery.

Denies she is middle aged, and could be said to do the same, as well as studying, trying to reconcile Christianity and her sex life and avoiding housework.

Hi Jemima, I love your blog, and thank you so much for sharing everything you have shared. You write beautifully, even when it is about painful subjects. Is there an email address I can reach you at? I just have a quick question.

    Best, Lily

    Hi Jemima,

I’m a freelance journalist looking for case studies for a feature I intend to pitch to Cosmo on Campus magazine about the rise of student sex workers, which was highlighted in the news last week.

This feature, I have to stress, will be a judgement-free analysis of why we’re seeing a rise in student sex workers, weaving in interviews with those who have needed to turn to this kind of work and also offering advice on how to stay safe.

Would you be interested in being interviewed for the piece? We can, of course, keep your identity strictly anonymous.

If you are interested or would like to ask any questions, please do drop me an email.

    Many thanks.
